    Dearest Naomi,
    Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for taking your courageous, iconic, fabulous walk in the world of Fashion and Commerce; a walk that created the path for all the Black supermodels who would follow. I am so blessed to cherish memories of us as new mothers with playdates, lunches at the factory with Andy Warhol, nights at 54, as we shared the magic of Manhattan. Rest well, Naoimi, you walked on the right side of history. And you did it with great Joy and Dignity; your fresh flowers, WQXR, and brilliant smile were the simple yet pure lessons you taught so naturally.I will cherish you and that Joy always.
